The Wolkendorf Gastronomy restaurant was launched in 2018
out of the desire to build the complete experience we believe
your vacation should be.
The core picture is inspired by the old local architecture, and it
absorbs the materials and the simple things, but the general
atmosphere is rather closer to a restaurant in the interwar times
– the whole decor creates a balanced background for the
culinary forays we invite you to.
Respecting the organic principles that guide us in the
development of the Woklendorf hotel, we show the same
concern for the environment and make the kitchen function
responsibly, reaching a high level from a gastronomic point of
view.
The culinary experience we set out to oer our visitors involves
a journey from breakfast to dinner on a palette of ingredients of
each season, through culinary habits inherited from one
generation to the next.
INGREDIENTS STRAIGHT
FROM LOCAL FARMERS
Ingredients are coming directly from local farmers. The kitchen
is supplied with locally developed produce by producers of
organic crops and organic farms. This way we know that we can
have the best meat, the best dairy products and the freshest
organic vegetables to prepare the dishes that make the
Wolkendorf Biohotel signature.
The recipes on the restaurant menu change as the year goes on
and consist either of Christmas and Easter specialties, or of
soups, salads, pies and traditional dishes based on seasonal
vegetables and fruits.
The wine collection from Wolkendorf Gastronomy is a versatile
but small one, aiming to highlight the Romanian vineyards and
wines that harmonize with the restaurant’s menu.
